Shipping

In-stock items

Most in-stock items will be shipped out the same business-day for order recieved before 2pm. The only exception to this is certain bulky items which are stored in our second warehouse and can result in the order shipping the following day.

To-order items

Orders go into our suppliers daily and lead-times on to-order items can vary from 1-2 days to several weeks depending on the products and suppliers. We'll be in touch to advise on specifics of your order as soon as we recieve confirmation from the suppliers.

Shipping policies

We use courier companies (DPD and UPS) to deliver your orders. No orders are sent by regular post.

In order for the courier to successfully and promptly deliver an order, customers must be available to receive and sign for the delivery. The couriers cannot leave a package unattended, as the driver must obtain a signature and printed name to complete the delivery.

We advise customers who are at work daily, or regularly away from home to have their orders delivered to a place of work or alternative address where someone will be available to take delivery.

Customers having an order delivered to a work address should be aware that the delivery will most likely not be made directly to them, but will be signed for at goods in, post room or reception area.

We can’t request that the courier delivers at a specific time, so it may be any time during a business day.

For deliveries in Ireland, we use DPD’s text and email service - which will give you a short window for your estimated delivery time on the morning of your delivery day, with options to postpone if you require.

Should you not be at home after the first attempt to deliver, the courier will leave a calling card with contact information. Using the information on the calling card, the customer should get in contact with the courier to make arrangements to attempt a second delivery.

If no contact is made within a seven day holding period the package will be returned to HifiHut for collection from our premises. Unfortunately, if we have to make a second attempt at delivery we must charge for this.

The couriers are supplied with your contact number but it is not always their policy to call before they attempt delivery. The number is supplied for the courier’s convenience, and for them to use should they have a problem

We can ship excluding VAT to any EU country where a valid VAT number is supplied, please contact us to set up your account and verify your details.

Orders to outside the EU are sent excluding VAT, but you are liable all duties and taxes to be paid on import. Check with your local customs office from further details.

Orders placed and paid for by 2pm (Dublin time) will be processed that working day. Orders that are placed after 2pm will be processed the next working day.

Deliveries are on working days only - no deliveries are made on Saturday/Sunday/Bank Holidays or Public Holidays.

Orders over €50 - 1-3 working days - Free courier delivery (DPD)* With some exclusions of bulky items for which we are unable to use our normal courier partner.
Orders less than €50 - 1-3 working days - DPD €7.50

Please note that delivery times are based on products being in stock and often deliveries arrive quicker than the times we advise. In the event that a product is not in stock, or there is an unexpected delay, a member of staff will contact you to advise on lead times. Some Hifihut products are subject to availability and delays may sometimes occur that are beyond our control. Any dates specified for delivery are therefore approximate only but we try our absolute best to be accurate.

At the time of delivery of the order, you are required to sign for the delivery of the products. After you signed-off for the order, the contents of the order become your sole responsibility.

Should a delivery be delayed for more than 15 working days, the customer has the right to refuse to accept the order. In these circumstances, Hifihut.ie will refund any money paid by the customer. Hifihut.ie will not be responsible for any losses, costs, damages or charges that you may suffer due to a delay in supplying or not supply ordered products. At the time of delivery of the order, the customer is required to sign for the delivery of the products. After the customer has signed-off for the order, the contents of the order become the sole responsibility of the customer.
